Pool Reinsurance is the UK’s government-backed terrorism reinsurance mutual. Since the failure of the market in 1993, Pool Re has ensured the continued availability of terrorism insurance, currently underwriting over £2 trillion of exposure in commercial property. Mr Enoizi, CEO of Pool Re, will discuss the evolution of the scheme over 27 years in the broader context of the insurance, security and political landscapes, and consider the unique opportunities that lie in store for private market solutions to public policy objectives and fostering a risk-resilient nation.

About the Speaker 

Julian Enoizi is CEO of Pool Reinsurance, the Government backed UK terrorism reinsurance mutual. Under his leadership, he has renegotiated Pool Re’s relationship with HM Treasury, implemented the purchase of third party retrocession cover, is a central sponsor of thought leadership initiatives and international collaboration with worldwide Pools culminating in various prestigious awards.
