Cass Business School and City University London are visiting Munich to host two masterclasses delivered by Dr Dirk Nitzsche, Senior Lecturer in Finance at Cass Business School and Captain Tilmann Gabriel, Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics at City University. The evening is catered for prospective students, but also Alumni from the University who will have the opportunity to get together, reconnect and answer any questions our prospective students may have. Light refreshments will be served after the masterclass.

How should we choose our equity portfolio?  Should we invest in mutual funds which have performed well? 

With more than $10  trillion invested worldwide in mutual funds, the industry earns billions of dollars managing investors funds. In most countries investors can choose between hundreds, if not thousands of different mutual funds. The industry and the financial press publishes performance tables which help to persuade investor to invest in highly ranked funds. These are rarely skilled funds and investors may well do better investing in an index tracker. 
Skill, luck and persistence of performance will be the topic of this Masterclass.
