Presenter: David Gilchrist

david-dilchristDavid has a BA (Hons) in American Studies and an MSc in Information Systems. He has experienced a number of industries like financial products and IT. In 2001 he joined Logica as a mature graduate onto their graduate scheme and moved from roles on IT projects to inducting and recruiting both placement and graduate students. He experienced every stage of the recruitment process from candidate attraction, through to screening applications, interviewing candidates and facilitating assessment centres.

David made the move over to the university world in 2009 and has spent over 2 years as a careers consultant at Brunel University before his move to City. At Brunel he focused particularly on increasing the employability and confidence of Brunel's graduate population as well as working closely with its Business School undergraduate population. David's careers consulting abilities are underpinned both by his recruitment experiences and his certification as a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
