Description
City University of London and Cass Business School are pleased to invite all alumni to an evening masterclass and reception in Beijing. The evening will give you an opportunity to reconnect with former City and Cass colleagues, participate in an engaging masterclass, learn of new developments at the University and to meet with current staff.
Masterclass
Andrew Clare, Professor of Asset Management at Cass Business School and the Associate Dean responsible for Cass's MSc programme, will explain how sequence risk arises and will present some recent Cass research which shows how it might be managed.
Taming the Sequence Risk Devil
Classical finance teaches us that the volatility of returns is a useful measure of investment risk. However, for the millions of investors worldwide who rely on drawing a regular income from their investments it is not the volatility of these returns that matters as much as the sequence of the returns generated by these investments. This is known as sequence risk. This is a very important and yet poorly understood aspect of investment. In this Masterclass Professor Andrew Clare will explain how sequence risk arises and will present some recent Cass research which shows how it might be managed.
