We are pleased to invite all alumni in Singapore to a masterclass, talk and networking reception on Wednesday, 8 March 2023. The evening will provide an opportunity to reconnect with your fellow former classmates as well as expand your professional networks in the region. 

This event will give participants the chance to engage in thought-provoking conversation with fellow alumni and academics as well as learn about the latest news from City, University of London and Bayes Business School.

Speaker Profiles


Andre Spicer

Professor André Spicer is Dean of Bayes Business School. He is also Professor of Organisational Behaviour and the Head of the Faculty of Management. He is an expert in the areas of Organisational Behaviour, Leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Professor Spicer is originally from Aotearoa/New Zealand. He began his studies at the University of Otago and holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Prior to joining City, he was a Professor of Organization Studies at the University of Warwick. He has been a visiting professor at London Business School, the Kellogg School at Northwestern, McGill University, Lund University, University of St Gallen and the University of Sydney.

Professor Spicer is known for his research on wellbeing, organizational politics, organisational culture, employee identity, new organizational forms, work space and leadership. His work looks at a wide range of settings including knowledge intensive firms, financial institutions, government departments, seaports, universities, libraries, media organizations, and social movements.


Krista Baetens is the Executive for Asia of C&IB National Australia Bank. In this role, she is responsible for all NAB activities in Asia. She joined NAB in January 2021.

Until December 2020, Krista was the CEO of Wholesale Banking Asia Pacific. In this role she was responsible for all ING Wholesale Banking activities in the APAC region covering 14 markets and the whole product suite from lending, transaction services, to financial markets, debt capital markets and corporate finance. She was also a non-executive non-independent director of ING Australia. Prior to that, as CRO and an Executive Board Member of ING Belgium SA, she was responsible for the risk management function of ING Belgium covering all of its subsidiaries and branches. Before the role as CRO, she was the Global Head Specialised Financing Group, Krista was responsible for all ING’s leveraged finance (structured acquisition finance), telecoms, media and technology (TMT) finance, investment fund finance and structured finance. She also co-headed the high-yield business.

Krista has most recently been awarded the title of Fellow of the Hogenheuvel college of the KU Leuven, is a recipient of ING’s global Engaging Leadership Award, and a laureate of the prestigious Prince Albert Fund. She qualified as a business and personal coach, and is a passionate supporter and board member of community initiatives such as the ING Orange Bike project in Asia and the King Boudewijn foundation in Belgium.
