Entrepreneurs sat around a table

Entrepreneurship Services

There are lots of pathways to becoming an entrepreneur, and Bayes has a wide variety of options to help alumni further their new ventures.

Entrepreneurship Programmes

Aurore Hochard, Head of Entrepreneurship says:

“We offer lots of ways to help your entrepreneurial adventure. Dip your toe in the water with our EntrepreneursTalk, where successful entrepreneurs are interviewed about their journey. Come along to a Start-Up Weekend, an intensive two-day workshop aimed at practical skills, or take part in a Hackathon, a tech-focussed problem-solving event. We also run a one-day conference on Entrepreneurship and Innovation for alumni in innovative or corporate roles, focussing on innovation. Finally, we will soon be launching new short courses running for three or four days, by the end of which you should be ready to go from a corporate role to your own business.”

Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund

Olamide Ogunrinola, Investment Analyst at the Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund says:

“The Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund is a £10m Venture Capital Fund based in-house at Bayes. The Fund makes commercial equity investments of between £100,000 and £500,000 into promising, high-growth businesses and offer support through financial investment and the broader resources needed to deliver early commercial growth. A new £10m Fund was launched in 2016, and continues to actively invest in new businesses.

“The Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund was set up with the generous support of Peter Cullum, CBE. A successful entrepreneur and alumnus of Bayes, Peter's vision for a hub that provides practical support to growing businesses and entrepreneurs has enabled the rapid growth of many new businesses from the Bayes network and broader early-stage UK company ecosystem.

“We have a small, experienced investment team, and manage an efficient, professional investment process. Please take time to review the key investment criteria and to get acquainted with our approach and activities. Send us an executive summary or pitch deck at the first instance and we can take discussions forward from there.”
