Alumni Card

Who needs an Alumni Card?

You need an alumni card if you would like to access the Bayes main building at Bunhill Row or other University buildings.

You will need your alumni card if you would like to use the libraries at Bayes or City, University of London.

How do I get an Alumni Card?

What is an Alumni Card for?

It gives you access to the University, Bayes and City libraries (note that borrowing items requires an annual subscription).

You can also get a discount at the CitySport facility on Goswell Road. For example, annual membership costs £360 instead of £460 for the public.

How long does it take to receive an Alumni Card?

You can request to collect your Alumni Card from the Security Desks at either Bunhill Row or Northampton Square.

The Security Desks are open from 9am – 9pm on weekdays, and 10am – 5pm on weekends.

Does my Alumni Card have an expiry date?

Your Alumni Card will expire in three years from the date of issue, at which point you will need to contact us to request a new one.

I have lost my Alumni Card?

Library and Database Access

Can I access the libraries after graduation?

Yes, you just need an alumni card -  click here to complete this form. This is for reference access only, if you want to borrow books you will need to arrange this at the library - there is a charge for this service.

Which databases can I access?

You have online remote access to Business Source Premier (Alumni Edition) and Refworks.

Certificates and Transcripts

How can I get a copy of my transcript?

To order copies of your final transcript, you need to contact the Examinations Office for your course.

MSc: Please email mscexams@city.ac.uk, to request a copy of your transcript.

How can I get a new Degree Certificate?

Please visit our replacement certificate webpage to request a new degree certificate.

Can I get a copy of my Certificate certified?

We can authenticate photocopies of certificates for you. Please send us the copies of your certificate (we don't need to see the original) and we will stamp them to confirm that they are true copies of an original document, and sign them on behalf of the Academic Registrar.

Please scan (pdf. format) and email your original certificate to us at registry@city.ac.uk, together with your postal address and we will produce and post an authenticated copy for you.

There is no charge for this service and we do not require the original certificate.

Contacting Fellow Alumni

How can I contact alumni in ‘x’ industry/’x’ company/’x’ country?

Due to the Data Protection Act 1998, we do not give out any personal information of our alumni. However, we are happy to contact alumni on your behalf and ask them to contact you. Please email alumni@city.ac.uk with details of the names and graduation years, or courses and graduation years and we will be able to help.

We also suggest that you become a member of our official Alumni LinkedIn group where you can connect with fellow alumni via private message once you have been accepted into the group.

I am a prospective student and I would like to speak with alumni from a selected programme and/or country for advice. How can I get in touch with your alumni?

We encourage you to visit our International Alumni groups web page. Here, you can find the contact information for Alumni Ambassadors worldwide who have agreed to help the school and would be more than happy to speak with you further.

Careers

How do I access Careers Online?

You will need to register to access our online careers management tool, Careers Online.

Once registered, you can search for current vacancies, track your applications, view company profiles and information and build your CV with our step-by-step guide.

How do I get involved with Careers?

Careers invite all alumni to engage with us, whether to present your company, a skills workshop or advise on a one-to-one basis. You can also advertise jobs, internships and MBA research projects.
