Description

Journalism at City began as a postgraduate department in 1976 and has developed some of the most respected Journalism courses in the country. City, University of London is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. To mark this incredible milestone in our department's history we are delighted to invite all Journalism alumni, students, current and former staff to an evening event at the astonishing Drapers' Hall.

We will have the pleasure of welcoming Dermot Murnaghan (PG Dip Journalism, 1984), Presenter for Sky News, who will act as Master of Ceremonies for the evening and will interview other distinguished Journalism alumni including Kamal Ahmed (PG Dip Newspaper Journalism, 1991), Samira Ahmed (PG Dip Journalism, 1990), Anushka Asthana (PG Dip Periodical Journalism, 2003), Caroline Faraj (MA International Journalism, 2000), Alex Graham (PG Dip Journalism, 1978), Helen Lewis (PG Dip Newspaper Journalism, 2005), Jane Martinson (PG Dip Newspaper Journalism, 1991) and Sally Shelford (PG Dip Periodical Journalism, 2000).

We will also share the latest news from the department.

Price: £20 per person and include a buffet and a welcome drink. The evening will start with a drinks reception, followed by a discussion and will round up with networking accompanied by live music.

20:00 – 21:00 Networking at the Livery Hall accompanied by live music
21:00 – 21:10 Welcome speech
21:10 – 21:40 Interview with distinguished Journalism alumni
21:40 – 23:00 Further networking 

Dress Code

The dress code for this event is smart casual. 

We are very much looking forward to seeing you on the 9th February.
