From an obscure Buddhist discipline to a much hyped concept discussed at Davos and even embraced by the US Marine Corp; mindfulness is coming to an organisation near you!

Understand the opportunities and challenges mindfulness can bring by joining leading experts from Cass Business School and Cranfield School of Management along with professionals who have applied mindfulness in the business environment for a vibrant discussion.

The Speakers

Professor Andre Spicer

Andre is Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Cass Business School. An award winning teacher and frequent commentator on global media outlets he is an expert on organisational culture, employee identity and the creation of new organisational forms. Andre will help us understand the challenges that can be faced when applying a concept such as mindfulness to contemporary business culture.

Doctor Jutta Tobias

Jutta teaches the Management of Organisational Performance at Cranfield School of Management. She is an expert in the link between mindfulness and performance and her research is geared towards establishing a scientific evidence base for mindfulness interventions in organisations. Jutta will outline the benefits mindfulness can bring to organisations if effectively implemented.

Karuna Priya

Karuna is an ex-Buddhist monk, Buddhist chaplain at Imperial College and has worked as a mindfulness practitioner with corporations and individuals. He will help us understand the spiritual foundations on which the concept is based.

Marion Furr

A senior civil servant and Chair of the Department of Health’s Staff Health and Wellbeing Board, Marion has driven the mindfulness agenda within central government and will share her experiences of implementing the concept in a complex organisation.
